When you got nothing, you got nothing to lose
Youre invisible now, you got no secrets to conceal
These two lines come down to one simple idea that is the best things in life don't cost any money. The first line shows how complicated life is when you have money and power. Also how quickly you can loose it all as the character in the song does. When you don't have money and power life becomes simpler because you don't have all those material things that you feel bring you happiness. The second line goes into how when people have money and power they often have to fit certain stereotypes, or portray themselves differently than they would if they lived there lives not caring what other thought. But when you feel that you have no one to impress you can be yourself. I see it as the character in the song becomes "invisible now" because she is no longer trying to impress anyone. She can finally be herself and when you act how you truly feel and don't try to impress anyone you will have "no secrets to conceal".

I think the first line is said to show how pathetic she is and how useless her life is now. Now that she has nothing, what does she have to live for or offer?
The second line with "your invisible now" is probably trying to reinforce her uselessness again to everyone. Nobody wants to achieve invisibleness. They want to be heard and noticed.
Good analysis. One of my favorite quotes in life is when you have nothing you have nothing to lose. I think it also may be talking about how even though you have nothing, it is a good reason to really get out there and live. I think the invisible now part may reinforce this by saying that she is now invisible to a materialistic society that needs things in order to be someone, when really they are the ones not living.
"You're invisible now, you got no secrets to conceal" for some reason puts me in mind of the Simon and Garfunkle song "Mrs. Robinson" -- where Mrs. Robinson has this secret(s) that she's trying to keep from the world and hide in her "pantry" and "most of all you've got to hide it from the kids." In the Mrs. Robinson song she's got everything to lose, and here the woman in this song has "nothing to lose" and therefore doesn't have to conceal her secrets. A comparison of the two songs would be interesting.
Noting the close paring of "nothing to lose" and "no secrets to conceal" do you think that the secrets was what cost her everything? If so, then is the "secret" her drug use as you mentioned in earlier posts?
I dont think these lines are talking about the best things in life are free, i think they are talking about a fail emtpy shell of a man who has nothing left. He talks about how he is invisible to every because he has no more worth.
